Rebecca Cairns was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Humber College in 2011 and studied creative photography. Over the past several years, she has developed a body of work which mostly consists of haunting, black and white self portraits. 

She recently had her first solo exhibition in Toronto at Akasha Art Projects and has been in several international exhibitions and publications.
