Claudia Kent was born in Sweden in 1989 and has lived in Copenhagen, London, Barcelona, Prague and Berlin. She studied at Fatamorgana – School of documentary and art photography in Copenhagen 2011, FAMU- academy of performing arts in Prague 2012 and at Ostkreuzschule fur Fotografie in Berlin in 2013. Her photography often explores identity, nudity, sexuality and the absurdities of normality.

Come Closer – ‘This series is taken from an ongoing project portraying people in their personal spaces and intimate moments. The photos reveal the love, vulnerability and strength of people who have all in some way fascinated and inspired me. Whether the subject is a girlfriend, a mother or a stranger I wish to create the same sense of respect and trust that makes it possible to come close to a person’.
